The Process

The day consisted of intensive work phases, problem analysis, Q&A sessions with companies, expert mentoring, and prototype development. The Innovative Learning Center (ILC) project was selected as one of the central challenges of the event.

Four exceptional young talents —  Lennard Köpke, Ruwen Rossow, Sarin Balahizari og Tabea Hertwig  — chose to work on ILC’s challenge focusing on digital abuse and youth vulnerability.

How the team worked

The work process unfolded in three phases:

  • Working Phase 1: Initial discussions and exploration of digital abuse and risk patterns.
  • Q&A Session: Questions and dialogue with companies to clarify the challenge.
  • Mentoring: Expert input to strengthen their approach.
  • Working Phase 2: Deep-dive analysis — breaking down real-life scenarios and youth vulnerability.
  • Mentoring: Feedback, sparring, and refinement.
  • Working Phase 3: Development of practical and empathetic solution models — aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and ILC’s 14 workshop themes.

Their final pitch combined technology, education, behavioural insight, and sustainability principles.

Evaluation Criteria

The jury assessed all pitches based on the following four criteria:

  • Innovativeness – level of originality and new thinking
  • Creativity – quality of concept development
  • Sustainability – social and environmental responsibility
  • Pitch Quality – clarity, structure, and communication

The ILC team impressed the jury with their mature, empathetic, and deeply sustainable approach.
