Unity in Diversity

Workshop on racism, diversity and respect

Focus area: Racism। Age: 4–14। SDG 10 – Reduce Inequality

Description:

“Unity in Diversity” is a creative and dialogue-based workshop where children learn about diversity, skin tones, melanin, respect and unity. Through both practical and digital activities, children discover that diversity is a strength.

The workshop is developed with a focus on circular economy, empathy and digital creativity.

Creative Practical Activity

Children create linked hands in different skin tones using recycled paper. Along the way, we talk about what melanin is and how people can be different and still be part of the same community.

  • Draw and paint hands
  • Recycled paper is cut into hand figures
  • Children color skin tones with crayons or paint
  • Linked hands are assembled into a “diversity chain”
